Hemet Sweeps Pacific in Semi-final

In a fast paced, bodies flying everywhere action (see Yearbook photo's here), the Bulldog beat the Pacifica of Santa Monica in three straight games.  Each game saw some tremendous rally play as the teams stayed even through the first half of each game. That's when the Bulldogs showed their strength, determination, and spirit.  With a fantastic crowd behind them, the girls put strings of run together to outpace Pacifica 25-15, 25-20, 25-14.  See the Press Enterprise Photo's here.  Next up are the CIF Championship games played either Friday or Saturday at Cypress College where the Bulldogs will play Connelly and try for one of the schools only repeat championships in it's history.

Girls Volleyball Prevails over Bell-Jeff in Round 3

Hemet Girls Volleyball was finally given a test, and they passed.  After cruising through much of the season, Hemet was hardly challenged winning most matches by a 3-0 score.  Saturday night was a totally different story as a pumped up Bellarmine-Jefferson team of Burbank gave the Bulldogs all they could handle.

Hemet made the long drive with confidence but was shaken after loosing the first game 21-25.  In the second game, the Hemet girls seemed to find their stride and played better, winning 25-16.  After loosing the very competitive third game 24-26, Hemet was in a position it wasn’t used to and having its defending CIF Championship on the line.  This seemed to wake the Bulldogs up and with adrenaline pumping through their veins, took command and evened the games at 2 with a 25-14 victory.  The fifth game was all Hemet and the girls could finally breath, escaping with a 15-8 road win and the chance to play again this Tuesday against either Pacifica Christian or Fairmont Prep.  Game time is 7:00 p.m. at a site to be determined.

Girls Volleyball Sweeps In Round Two

Defending CIF 4A champions Hemet High School Girls Volleyball drove to Gladstone High School near Azusa to play the Gladiators. With a quick start, strong hitting and tremendous defense, Hemet swept the Gladiators in three straight games 25-11, 25-9, and 25-11. Next up for the Bulldogs will be a Saturday night quarterfinals match against Bell-Jefferson in Burbank.  ((818) 972-1400 Directions) Go Bulldogs
