Congratulations to our Lady Bulldogs!
Hemet Girls Volleyball was finally given a test, and they passed. After cruising through much of the season, Hemet was hardly challenged winning most matches by a 3-0 score. Saturday night was a totally different story as a pumped up Bellarmine-Jefferson team of Burbank gave the Bulldogs all they could handle.
Hemet made the long drive with confidence but was shaken after loosing the first game 21-25. In the second game, the Hemet girls seemed to find their stride and played better, winning 25-16. After loosing the very competitive third game 24-26, Hemet was in a position it wasn’t used to and having its defending CIF Championship on the line. This seemed to wake the Bulldogs up and with adrenaline pumping through their veins, took command and evened the games at 2 with a 25-14 victory. The fifth game was all Hemet and the girls could finally breath, escaping with a 15-8 road win and the chance to play again this Tuesday against either Pacifica Christian or Fairmont Prep. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at a site to be determined.
