Hemet High School hosted a new freshmen orientation meeting for incoming freshmen (current 8th graders) from it’s feeder schools, Dartmouth Middle, Acacia Middle, and Idyllwild school, and welcomed in the Class of 2017 to the Bulldog family.
About 300 students and parents showed up and heard speeches and presentations from administration, counselors, elective departments and athletics.
Students were given a tour of the campus by ASB student representatives prior to the meeting.
Afterwards, students were invited to visit coaches and advisors at the tables set up in the commons area and to sign up for fall sports along with clubs, groups, and organizations for next year.
Registration of classes for the incoming freshmen will be held in March with HHS counselors visiting each school and talking with students.
