Hemet is hitting on all cylinders in all sports this spring.

Hemet High continues to show strength in the spring sports as there are currently at least 5 teams that are still undefeated this season so far.

Baseball took an easy game and made it interesting as they hosted Tahquitz in a big Mountain Pass League game.  The Bulldogs were up 8-1, with Garrett Denbaugh getting ahold of one pitch and sending it deep over the fence.  Tahquitz scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning,  but the boys held on, got out of the inning and scored one run in the bottom of the sixth to finish off the Titans, 9-1.

Girls softball had the same results against Tahquitz.  After giving up an early run, the girls came to bat with intensity, Cheyenne Gandara had the bases loaded and crushed a home run for the grand slam and went on to win 10-1.

Boys tennis continues it’s winning ways on the court as it mows through each and every opponent.  Coach Walsh keeps an close eye as they guys position themselves to dominate the league, win the championship, and get as many people as far as they can into CIF as they can.

The track and swim teams are into their league meets now, we are waiting for results on each of them.  Both teams look to be strong in their sport and as always, have some great individual efforts from all the athletes.

The Boys Golf team with Coach Kemp have been burning up the fairways.  It seems they have a game every other day as the boys continue to improve.  Being a very young team with no seniors, the guys go out and try to win every hole.  In a recent tournament, the boys took 3rd place among some very stiff competition.  They are currently undefeated in league play shooting just under 200 on average.

The Boys Volleyball team had to struggle to beat Tahquitz in their last game.  Being down 23-18 in the second game, they got the wake-up call and came back to beat the Titans 26-24 for the second game of the match.  The third game Hemet poured it on, beating Tahquitz 25-15 and remain not only unchallenged in league, but undefeated and winners of the Hemet High Tournament beating Yuciapa and the Tahquitz Tournment beating Centennial, both matches were sweeps.  Currently they are 14-0 on the season.

There are plenty of sporting events on the calendar for everyone to go out and cheer on the Bulldogs.  Time to check out what you’re missing.
