Skinner was named CIF player of the year this past season after the Bulldogs won the CIF Division 7 championship and the Mountain Pass League championship. Skinner has been a member of every female CIF championship team at Hemet High School.

Favorite sports moment: "Although winning CIF for volleyball three years in a row was an amazing experience and memories were created that I will never forget, winning CIF for water polo was probably my favorite sports moment. Going into CIF, I was not sure how my team was going to react because the experience was new to them. They reacted well. We blew through the first few rounds of CIF and we made it to the final game. Having won three previous times, I told my team that winning CIF was a feeling that you will never forget and hoped they want it as bad as I did. Apparently they did. Being the top scorer in our division and on the team, my coach knew that I was going to get double or triple teamed during the championship game. Sure enough, that's what happened. The coach of the other team scouted our team and he knew that I was a threat. I scored the first goal of the game, and then they put another girl on me, holding true to their plan. Thankfully, with two extra girls on me, two girls on our team were open most of the game. Madalynne Carattini and Abigail Carpenter stepped up and scored five goals between themselves, finalizing the score 6-2. I was so happy that I got to see the girl's faces light up when we won the game and I was so proud of my team for working so hard all season."

Future plans: Next year, Skinner will attend UCLA. She plans to become a veterinarian. She said she may try to walk on to the water polo team, but will definitely continue her sports career through club or intramural play.

Random fact: "I love watching the Los Angeles Kings hockey team play. I hope they win the Stanley Cup again. Go Kings!"
