The Hemet High Girls Volleyball team took it to Ocean View and in less than an hour of play, it was over. Hemet dominated in every facet of the game. Mallory Marcus led the attach that hardly saw her get out of the front row.
Tristen Self’s serves were much too hard to handle and went on many runs to put the Bulldogs up fast and large, leading 10-1 in the first game, every game was the same.
Baylee Christian, Hemet’s big hitting outside did her job mostly by passing from the back row, keeping the ball in play for the efficient offense. Taylor Van Zee also was consistent digging the ball and playing great as the libero. Every one on the court hustled and made an impact as the Dogs are trying to quench their thirst to get through this game and build upon it as the matches will get tougher.
A tremendous amount of pressure is placed on them by their history and what volleyball has meant to them, especially for the seniors as they try to lead the team to it’s fourth consecutive championship.
Next up is a game back at Hemet High, Saturday, November 16, at 7:00 p.m.
Go Dogs.
Boys Water Polo traveled over 200 miles to take on Santa Ynez. Even after the hours on the road, the Bulldogs put up a great fight but eventually went down to the hosts in three overtimes.
To get this far into the season and to travel that distance, and be that close is quite an accomplishment for the boys. Congratulations on a great season and an excellent showing of the pride of Hemet High.
