Over the past week while many of us had the last week of school off, many students were back on campus practicing and competing. Every winter sports team made their respective CIF Playoffs.
The boys Soccer team began with a 4-1 wild-card victory over El Monte before dropping the 1st round game to Diamond Bar 5-1. Girls soccer won it’s first round game over Cathedral City 4-1 and will play at home hosting Valley Christian on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m., Boys basketball won 70-56 over Patriot and play away on Tuesday at Colony in Ontario, Girls basketball lost to Arroyo Grande 41-19, Girls Waterpolo beat San Dimas 8-3 in it’s first CIF game then lost to Segerstrom 13-6. The boys wrestlers competed and Caleb Wilson and Tristen Sutten both took second place in the CIF Eastern Division Championships.
This week is a big week for the start of spring sports as Baseball, Softball, Track and Field, Swimming, Boys Tennis, Boys Golf, and Boys Volleyball all start their seasons.

In other school news, It was announced that Hemet High Mock Trial has made the Elite Eight Championship Tournament. They will continue their competition this upcoming Wednesday against Woodcrest Christian School. The kids have worked very hard and were elated to get to this next level. Also, during the awards ceremony, Audrey Wayment was awarded the top Prosecution Pre-Trial Attorney award. She was recognized for being the best at her position in the entire county. This is an extremely prestigious and well-deserved honor!
There are no other sporting announcements as most spring sports begin their scrimmages to start their season on Saturday.
